De Vossemeren is the Center Parcs village that we keep returning to again and again. For our family, this is the village that all other villages are compared with. With a great swimming pool, a lovely spa and loads of water and land activities, a holiday here is always a lot of fun. The jewel in the crown of De Vossemeren is Discovery Bay – an indoor adventure play area designed to look like a huge pirate ship. When our kids were younger, they absolutely loved Discovery Bay. With rafts to pull themselves across a stream, high (enclosed) rope bridge, small beach area and much more, they had hours of fun in here.

Adults needing some chill-out time will love the spa with its steam rooms, saunas, and swim-up bar. It’s not on the same level as the UK Aquas Sanas, but worth a visit all the same. Before booking a spa session, check out the rules regarding swimwear as this is not allowed at some sessions, and is optional at others. Welcome to Belgium!
Big families can choose from a variety of villas including some that accommodate up to ten people. Although there’s plenty to keep you occupied onsite, if you’re taking your own bikes, the town of Lommel is a 14 minute bike ride away. You might also want to take the car and stock up at the nearest Lidl which is in Lommel town centre.
Theme park enthusiasts might be interested to know that Efteling Theme Park is a 1 hour (45 mile) drive from De Vossemeren. Efteling is one of the most popular Theme Parks in Europe, and is definitely worth a visit. Consider tagging a couple of nights at Efteling onto the end of your Center Parcs holiday to fully appreciate everything this incredible Theme Park has to offer. Big families are able to book hotel rooms with breakfast included for up to six people or self-catering houses for up to 24 people at Efteling. Tickets to the Park are included with every booking.
